Caring for our Country 2008-09 funding

During 2008-09, funding was provided via a number of programs under the transitional arrangements for Caring for our Country.

Caring for our Country transitional funding
	Community Coastcare Community Coastcare is part of the Caring for our Country package of activities contributing to the coastal environments and critical aquatic habitats priority outcome. More about Community Coastcare
	Environmental Stewardship Environmental Stewardship is aimed at contributing to the long-term protection, rehabilitation and improvement of targeted environmental assets on private land by purchasing environmental services from land managers and owners. More about Environmental Stewardship
	National Reserve System Building Australia's National Reserve System is one of six priorities for national investment under Caring for our Country, and is a vital component of our effort to conserve our native plants and animals. More about the National Reserve System
	Caring for our Country Open Grants Open Grants funding is targeted to the following Caring for our Country priority areas - biodiversity and natural icons; coastal environments and critical aquatic habitats; and sustainable farm practices. More about Open Grants
	Reef Rescue Reef Rescue's objective is to improve the water quality of the Great Barrier Reef lagoon by changing land management to reduce nutrient, pesticide and sediment run-off from agricultural land. More about Reef Rescue
